Many customers now only use credit cards
When shopping, many customers now only use credit cards. The card, often referred to as plastic money, can be used at petrol stations, in hotels or even on the Internet. Payment is only made by entering the 16-digit credit card numbers stamped on the front. When paying on the Internet, you must also specify the period of validity and the three-digit security number on the back. Payments with credit cards have the advantage that the sums of the purchases are not immediately debited to the checking account, as is the case with EC cards, but that they are collected within a month and only booked in one amount at the end. The credit card holder receives credit for one month, and completely free of charge. For some time now, credit cards have also been offered, where the repayment can be made in small monthly installments.
Customers have numerous different options
When choosing credit cards, customers have numerous different options. Each bank now offers different credit cards from which customers can choose. They differ mainly in their price, but also in the services associated with the card. Some of the credit cards, especially the golden cards, are often equipped with services such as insurance, while others offer a bonus system. Credit interest is no longer rare for credit card accounts, which is why investors like to use it as a call deposit account. The most commonly used credit card is that of the company Visa. It can be used worldwide and is very convenient for users.
Due to the large number of cards issued and the large number of customers, the VISA credit card is most commonly accepted. In addition to the VISA credit card, the MasterCard, another credit card, is also very common. Worldwide, cardholders of the VISA card can pay at more than 24 million acceptance points, in Germany alone there are more than 400,000 of them. For example, it is possible to pay the hotel bill in Spain, the fuel fill in the USA and the new suit in Milan very easily by credit card without having to worry about exchange rates or cash. Customers usually recognize whether the VISA card is accepted at the entrance to the store, where a sticker from the credit card institute can be recognized.
Credit cards are still rarely accepted
In Germany, credit cards are still rarely accepted. If customers in the USA also pay with their credit card in the supermarket or at small retailers, this is not yet possible in Germany due to the high costs. Credit cards in particular will probably become even more popular in the future due to the increasingly widespread Internet trade, and their number and acceptance points will continue to grow. Cardholders who want to use the VISA credit card to collect money from ATMs can do so at more than one million ATMs worldwide.
